Each summer CRC, in co-operation with the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office, offers multiple paid internships. These positions are generally offered to current under graduate students and are intended to provide these individuals with real-world, hands-on experience in coastal ecology and resource management. Interns will have the opportunity to work both in the office and in the field, on NOAA vessels with NOAA scientists, assisting them in their efforts to better understand and manage Chesapeake Bay.
These are 12 week positions, typically beginning at the end of May and lasting through late August. Start and end times are flexible according to the successful candidates academic schedule. Internships are typically announced in December with interviews occurring in March. Interest in these positions is high. Applicants are advised to provide a well thought out cover letter and resume.
